TWO VAGOS, (translated TWO VAGABONDS) is the brainchild of writer/poet/rapper SOMOS ONE of BRWN BFLO and close homeboy SILENCIO, an electro hip hop producer and sound engineer hailing out of Echo Park Los Angeles (the reason it was jokingly referred to as The EP EP). These two partner up to create a unique blend of ambient noise, slapping beats and emotive word play. From the top of the project (the song titled “STUMBLE”), the audience is given a rare glimpse of the vulnerable underbelly of a talented emcee as he stumbles to juggle the multiple hats he inherits. “SURVIVAL” holds no punches as SOMOS ONE and his former student LETRAS rail against the flagrant nature of first world entitlement’s abuse of natural resources (and is more than a nod to our first nations relatives IDLE NO MORE cultural movement). “HOWL” hits listeners with timeless piano chops and banging drums, as SOMOS sends out a much needed dedication to the culture of Skateboarding. “LONG ROAD” is an ode to the tireless traveler of California, and speaks to one of the EP’s primary themes – the constant need to drive interstate five to visit family and nurture new friendships ("So many good byes..."). The last track on the project “THESE DAYS” is an anthemic jam that serves to remind us all to appreciate the moments we share together and features the mighty SETI-X (RIP Jusdeep) as they team up to tell the world Thank You.
